Painting Scali del Pesce, Livorno: October Workshop Feature
Share
I recently painted Scali del Pesce in Livorno, Italy, which was the focus of my October public Workshop. This charming seaside scene gave me a wonderful chance to explore cool blues and warm earth tones in the same composition. The combination of soft blue water and the warm, sunlit stone steps really brings the place to life. I used a mix of cobalt and cerulean blues for the sea and sky and added burnt sienna and yellow ochre for the steps to create a natural but lively contrast.
