Frequently Asked Questions

About the paintings

Are your paintings one of a kind?

Yes. Every original in the shop is unique and painted by hand in my studio, so once a piece sells it's gone for good. No two are ever quite the same.

Do originals come framed?

No they do not.  I find people will have their own choices for mounts and frames types.

How are paintings packed for transit?

Each piece is wrapped carefully, rolled loosely into a special reinforced cardboard tube.

Shipping and delivery

Where do you ship to?

Worldwide. Shipping is charged in GBP and calculated at checkout based on where you are:

  • UK standard: £25
  • EU and International standard: £50
  • Worldwide: £75

How long will my painting take to arrive?

I aim to dispatch within a few working days of your order. Once it's on its way I'll send you tracking details so you can follow it to your door.

Will I have to pay customs or import duties?

Orders travelling outside the UK may attract customs charges or import duties set by your own country. These are outside my control and are the buyer's responsibility, so it's worth checking your local rules before ordering.

Returns

Can I return an original painting?

Because each original is one of a kind, I can't offer refunds or exchanges simply for a change of mind. If a painting arrives damaged, or it isn't what was described, get in touch with photos and I'll make it right.

What if I'm not sure it will suit my space?

Ask me before you buy. Send a photo of your wall and I can give you a sense of scale, or share extra photos of the piece so you know exactly what you're getting.

Commissions

Do you take commissions?

I do, and I really enjoy them. Whether you have a particular place, subject or colour palette in mind, head to my Commissions page to get started.

How does the process work?

We start with a chat about what you're after: subject, size, mood and any reference photos you have. I'll confirm the price and timings, then get painting and share progress along the way so there are no surprises at the end.

How long does a commission take?

It depends on the size of the piece and how busy my studio schedule is, so I'll always give you a realistic timescale before we begin.

Workshops and lessons

What do you offer?

I run in-person workshops, online group workshops and one-to-one Zoom lessons. They suit everyone from complete beginners to painters looking to loosen up.

How do I book?

Booking is done through the shop. Full joining details, including venue or online links and anything you need to bring, come through with your confirmation.
